City of Fircrest's Notice of Intent to Apply for Alternative Density and Action Approach
The Washington state department of commerce (commerce) received a notice of intent on February 19, 2025, from the City of Fircrest, consistent with the Growth Management Act (GMA) requirements within RCW
36.70A.635 - [36.070A.]638. Commerce has assigned case # 2025-C-427 for this request.
Fircrest's notice of intent contained the following:

o | Identification of the ordinances, resolutions, and plans supporting the timeline extension. |
o | Map of affected area. |
o | A summary of the analysis that is to be performed and its status. |
Fircrest's 30-day notice of intent was accepted by commerce on February 20, 2025, which requested the following:

o | Alternative density approach: Timeline extension for areas lacking infrastructure capacity. |
o | Alternative density approach: Excluding lots exceeding 25 percent. |

o | Alternative action approval: Substantially similar. |
o | Alternative action approval: Significant reduction or elimination of single-family zones. |
