NOTICE

Title or Subject: Medicaid State Plan Amendment (SPA) 25-0015 Clinic Services Supplement.

Effective Date: January 1, 2025.

Description: The health care authority (HCA) intends to submit SPA 25-0015 to comply with recent changes to Title 42 C.F.R., Chapter IV, Subchapter C, Part 440.90 Clinic Services. This change created a mandatory exception to the medicaid clinic services benefit "four walls" requirement for Indian health services and tribal clinics.

SPA 25-0015 is an administrative SPA, so is expected to have no effect on the annual aggregate expenditures/reimbursement/payments for clinic services.

A draft of SPA 25-0015 is in development. HCA would appreciate any input or concerns regarding this SPA. To request a copy when it becomes available, please contact the person named below by March 20, 2025 (please note that all comments are subject to public review and disclosure, as are the names of those who comment).
