     On page 124, after line 18, insert the following:

     "NEW SECTION.  Sec. 524.  FOR COMMON SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION

General Fund Appropriation. . . . . . . . . $     25,000,000

     The appropriation in this section is subject to the following conditions and limitations:  The funds appropriated in this section shall be deposited in the common school construction fund.

NEW SECTION.  Sec. 525.  FOR THE STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION

Common School Construction Fund Appropria-

     tion . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .$    25,000,000

     The appropriation in this section is subject to the following conditions and limitations:  The appropriation is provided solely for public school building construction."

EFFECT:  Transfers $25,000,000 from the general fund to the common school construction fund for building and remodeling of schools.
