     On page 4, line 11, after "state" insert: "This medical assessment should be done, where practical, by a consultant in an appropriate medical discipline."

EFFECT:  Adds to definition of "permanent unconscious condition" by requiring a medical assessment, where practical, by an appropriately trained medical professional.
