     On page 2, after line 7, insert:

     "NEW SECTION. Sec. 2. A new section is added to chapter 80.36 to read as follows:

     The commission, when telecommunications equipment allows, shall require telecommunications companies in this state to offer call trace service as a tariffed service separate from any other service, such as automatic number identification or caller identification."

EFFECT:  Telecommunications companies are required to offer call trace as a separate tariffed service when the service becomes available.
