By Representatives Spanel, Kremen, R. Johnson and Braddock

On page 72, after line 9, insert a new section as follows:

"NEW SECTION. Sec. 20. The department of natural resources, in cooperation with the parks and recreation commission and the interagency committee for outdoor recreation, shall report to the appropriate committees of the legislature by September 1, 1992, on alternatives for acquiring lands abutting Larrabee State Park. The report shall incorporate the following principles:

(1) Maximum use of local and private funds and resources;

(2) Consistency with existing state acquisition programs; and

(3) Consideration of land acquisition and development that have already occurred or are proposed for the area."

Renumber the remaining section in Part 3.
