     On page 30, line 51, strike "(c)" and insert "(b)(ii)"

     On page 30, line 52, strike ".  (c) The city shall, pursuant to RCW 35.21.745, amend" and insert "; or (ii) the city amends"

     On page 31, line 4, after "purposes."  insert "However, should the authority's council or its constituency fail to recommend such amendments to the mayor by June 1, 1992, the mayor shall, in his sole discretion, promulgate such amendments to the charter."

EFFECT:  Directs the mayor of Seattle to promulgate charter amendments precluding certain future sales of interests in Pike Place Market properties, if the Pike Place Development Authority fails to recommend such amendments by June 1, 1992.
