     Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct internal references accordingly.

     Renumber the remaining section consecutively and correct internal references accordingly.

 

EFFECT:  Removes council authority to impose sanctions on funding sources through a "finding of inconsistency" with regional transportation plans and strategies and state policies.  Funding sources affected by removal of this sanction are federal aviation funds, regional transportation planning funds, public transit accounts, urban arterial funds, high capacity transportation account, ferry system terminal improvements, local option vehicle license fee, commercial parking tax, street utility charge, port district levies and local transit sales taxes. 

 

     Reference deleted but funds subject to sanction under existing law are federal highway and transit funds, transportation improvement account monies and high capacity transit taxes.  In addition, urban arterial trust account funds can be sanctioned for failure to comply with GMA.
