    On page 18, beginning on line 1, strike all of NEW SECTION,  Sec. 16.

    Renumber the following sections consecutively and correct internal references accordingly.

    EFFECT:  Deletes requirement that the Regional Transit Authority: 1) get 60% voter approval before selling any bonds, and 2) that the bond approval vote be taken not sooner than one year after the system plan, including financing, is approved by the voters.  The bill would still require that general obligation bonds issued in excess of 1-1/2 of assessed valuation within the authority boundaries would need 60% voter approval.
