Background:  A number of people from the United States have contributed or are contributing directly to the military operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm in the Middle East.  Included in this group of people from the United States are participants from Washington.

 

Summary of Amended Bill:  The members of the Senate and the House of Representatives ask the Department of Defense and the Joint Chiefs of Staff to extend the Legislature's appreciation to all U.S. troops, especially those personnel representing the state of Washington.
