BACKGROUND:
Under current law, various kinds of personal property are statutorily exempt, up to certain specified values, from enforcement actions by creditors.
It is suggested that the existing maximum exemption amounts for personal property be increased.
SUMMARY:
The maximum allowable dollar value of personal property which is exempt from execution, attachment, and garnishment of creditors is increased.
