Brief Description:  Raising various hunting and fishing fees.

BACKGROUND:

 

Department of Wildlife hunting, fishing and trapping fees have not been increased since 1985.  There is a need for additional revenue to operate department programs.

 

SUMMARY:

 

Hunting, fishing, trapping and other Department of Wildlife fees are increased approximately 20 percent.  Senior citizens over 70 years of age must pay $3 for an annual fishing license.  The fees for personalized license plates are increased by $10. 

 

The director shall increase fees starting in 1993 by the lesser of 5 percent or the cumulative percentage change in the implicit price deflator, rounded up to the nearest whole dollar.
