BACKGROUND:

 

The state's boating safety laws are contained in 40 sections spread over seven chapters in the RCW.  Concerns have been expressed that this scattering makes the laws hard to find and difficult to administer.

 

SUMMARY:

 

The boating safety statutes are moved into the "Regulation of Motor Boats," Chapter 88.12 RCW, and recodified under this chapter.
