BACKGROUND:

 

Currently there is no day that honors the thousands of dedicated men and women of the Washington Army and Air National Guard who voluntarily serve the state and nation in peace and war.

 

SUMMARY:

 

January 26 of each year is designated as Washington Army and Air National Guard Day.

TESTIMONY FOR:

 

The bill is appropriate tribute, recognition and thanks for outstanding performances in the Persian Gulf, fighting fires, on flood duty, and fighting the war against drugs.
