BACKGROUND:
Boundary review boards may review the extension of permanent water or sewer service by a city, town, or special purpose district outside of its existing boundaries. SUMMARY:
The members of a boundary review board may not initiate a review of the extension of permanent water or sewer service by a city, town, or special purpose district outside of its existing boundaries if: (1) the affected area is in a county which is planning under the Growth Management Act, and (2) the legislative authority of such county has, by majority vote, waived the authority to the board to initiate such reviews.
Decisions of a boundary review board in a county planning under the Growth Management Act must be consistent with the goals, policies and comprehensive plan adopted by the county pursuant to the GMA.
