BACKGROUND:

 

The state Clean Air Act establishes standards for the purpose of protecting public health, property values and the environment.  The act provides for variances and exemptions under special circumstances.

 

SUMMARY:

 

A variance from air quality standards is not required for emissions resulting from the testing of repaired marine vessel engines.  The state Clean Air Act is modified to exempt these emissions.
