Brief Description:  Requesting that Congress propose a constitutional amendment to limit congressional and federal judicial terms to twelve years.

BACKGROUND:

 

Active efforts to curb what is perceived as entrenched incumbency by public office holders are receiving considerable attention and support around the United States.  Presently on the federal level the only limitation is the restriction that no one can serve more than 10 years or be elected to more than two terms as president.

 

SUMMARY:

 

No person can serve more than 12 years in one house of Congress or on one federal judicial level.
