Brief Description: Creating the joint select committee on Lake Roosevelt.

BACKGROUND:
The Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area is located above Grand Coulee Dam on the Columbia River. The area has attracted many thousands of tourists over the years.
Currently, the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area is administered by a number of federal agencies and two Indian nations.
SUMMARY:
A joint select committee is created to study the administration of the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area and its adjoining properties. The goal of the committee is to determine a method by which the state of Washington may be made a full partner in the planning and policy decisions affecting the area.
The committee will consist of eight members, four from the Senate and four from the House of Representatives. The committee is to report its findings by December 15, 1991 and is terminated on February 1, 1992.
