Regulating oil transmission lines.


     AN ACT Relating to oil transmission lines; adding a new section to Title 35 RCW; adding a new section to Title 35A RCW; adding a new section to Title 36 RCW; and creating a new section.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

     NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.      The legislature finds that oil transmission lines can be harmful to the public welfare and that it is in the best interest of the state to have oil transmission lines conform to local zoning and environmental codes.

 

     NEW SECTION.  Sec. 2.  A new section is added to Title 35 RCW to read as follows:

     Oil transmission lines shall conform to all city, town, municipal, and county zoning and environmental codes.

 

     NEW SECTION.  Sec. 3.  A new section is added to Title 35A RCW to read as follows:

     Oil transmission lines shall conform to all city, town, municipal, and county zoning and environmental codes.

 

     NEW SECTION.  Sec. 4.  A new section is added to Title 36 RCW to read as follows:

     Oil transmission lines shall conform to all city, town, municipal, and county zoning and environmental codes.
