     AN ACT Relating to industrial insurance compensation; and adding a new section to chapter 51.32 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 51.32 RCW to read as follows:

     For any worker who is injured, files a claim, does not require time off due to disability at the time the claim is filed, and subsequently becomes disabled due to the injury, the schedule of payments contained in RCW 51.32.060 shall be based on the worker's wages at the time of time loss or the wages at the time of injury, whichever is greater.
