     AN ACT Relating to professional licensing; amending RCW 46.01.055 and 43.24.024; and repealing RCW 46.01.050.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

     Sec. 1.  RCW 46.01.055 and 1979 c 158 s 117 are each amended to read as follows:

     The director of licensing shall appoint ((and deputize an assistant director of business and professions administration, who shall have charge and supervision of the business and professions administration)) deputies and assistants as the director deems necessary for the administration of laws relating to licensing and regulation in accordance with RCW 46.01.011.

 

     Sec. 2.  RCW 43.24.024 and 1979 c 158 s 96 are each amended to read as follows:

     The director of licensing may delegate to ((the)) executive officers in the department of licensing such as a deputy director or assistant director ((of the business and professions administration in the department of licensing)) authority to promulgate rules ((and regulations)) relating to the ((licensing of persons engaged in businesses and professions and to the)) administration of laws ((pertaining to the regulation of securities)) in accordance with RCW 46.01.011.  The director may delegate the authority to issue and sign licenses, certificates, permits and renewals thereof pertaining to those activities ((transferred to the business and professions administration in the department of licensing pursuant to RCW 46.01.050)) in accordance with RCW 46.01.011.

 

     NEW SECTION.  Sec. 3.  RCW 46.01.050 and 1979 c 158 s 116, 1969 ex.s. c 281 s 34, & 1965 c 156 s 5 are each repealed.
