Concerning the printing of public documents.

     AN ACT Relating to printing of government documents; and adding a new section to chapter 43.78 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 43.78 RCW to read as follows:

     (1) The public printer shall print, or shall contract to have printed when secured from private sources, on the front cover of all documents listed in RCW 43.78.080 as second, third, fourth, and fifth class documents, excepting stationery blanks, record books, business cards, memo pads, envelopes, and like materials, in no less than twelve point type, the cost of the total run of the document, and the cost of the individual document.  Hard bound documents shall have the cost of the total run of the document and the cost of the individual document printed on the first page of the hard bound document.

     (2) First class documents, as defined in RCW 43.78.080, are exempted from the requirements listed in subsection (1) of this section.
