     AN ACT Relating to victim compensation; and adding a new section to chapter 7.68 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 7.68 RCW to read as follows:

     An inmate convicted of a criminal act that results in an injury against another person shall, during his or her period of incarceration, pay twenty percent of his or her gross wages to the victim's compensation fund set out under RCW 7.68.090.
