     AN ACT Relating to increment increases for employees; and adding a new section to chapter 43.88 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 43.88 RCW to read as follows:

     In the budget document submitted by the governor under RCW 43.88.030, the cost of increment salary increases for an additional year of experience to be granted to employees in the ensuing biennium and the average percentage increase represented by such increment salary increases shall be included in any amounts and percentage increases proposed for state, higher education, and school district employee salaries.
