     AN ACT Relating to future construction of state buildings; and adding new sections to chapter 43.82 RCW.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

     NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.      As of the effective date of this act, all new construction for state agency housing that is commenced on or after the effective date of this act may be paid for only with funds from the state agency housing account.

 

     NEW SECTION.  Sec. 2.      As of the effective date of this act, the bonding authority for construction of new state buildings to house state agencies, authorized by this chapter, is limited to building construction already authorized by the legislature.

 

     NEW SECTION.  Sec. 3.      The state agency housing account is created in the state treasury.  The legislature will appropriate funds to the account from time to time.  Moneys in the account may be spent only after appropriation.  Expenditures from the account may be used only for new state buildings to house state agencies that are commenced on or after the effective date of this act.

 

     NEW SECTION.  Sec. 4.      Sections 1 through 3 of this act are each added to chapter 43.82 RCW.
