AN ACT Relating to prohibition of bear snares; and adding a new section to chapter 77.16 RCW.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:
NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. A new section is added to chapter 77.16 RCW to read as follows:
It is unlawful to use snares to trap bears. A snare is a device constructed with steel cable or similar materials, which may encircle and hold part of a bear and prevent free movement or escape.
