     AN ACT Relating to fire protection; amending RCW 35.21.777; and repealing RCW 35.21.775.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

     Sec. 1.  RCW 35.21.777 and 1983 c 87 s 1 are each amended to read as follows:

     Nothing ((contained in RCW 35.21.775)) shall prohibit a separate contract for fire protection between a city or town and a state agency if ((the contractual relationship preceded the enactment of RCW 35.21.775 or if)) made by mutual agreement between a city or town and a state agency ((find that the funding under RCW 35.21.775 is inadequate to compensate the city or town for fire protection services or equipment provided to state facilities)).

NEW SECTION. Sec. 2.      RCW 35.21.775 and 1985 c 6 s 4, 1984 c 230 s 82, 1983 c 146 s 1, & 1979 ex.s. c 102 s 1 are each repealed.
