     AN ACT Relating to notification of adult family homes; and adding a new section to chapter 70.128 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 70.128 RCW to read as follows:

     Before the time the department issues a license for an adult family home, it shall notify the local governmental authority and the school district in which the proposed adult family home is located of the proposed siting of the home and publish notice of the location of the home in a newspaper of general circulation in the county.
