SENATE RESOLUTION

     WHEREAS, Dr. Everett Macomber of Centralia has been elected to the office of President of the American Veterinary Medical Association, a national organization of more than 50,000 members; and

 

     WHEREAS, Dr. Macomber served for more than ten years as a member of the Centralia school board; and

 

     WHEREAS, Throughout his childhood days on the family dairy farm in Oakville, as well as during his science classes at Centralia College and Washington State University, Dr. Macomber has worked diligently to reap as much as possible from his educational experiences; and

 

     WHEREAS, Dr. Macomber continues his devotion to learning by encouraging the employees in his Centralia veterinary practice to pursue additional schooling, so that they, too, can experience the life-long enjoyment of learning their profession and contributing to their communities; and

 

     WHEREAS, The Senate desires to take note of those persons who make substantial contributions to their communities and to the State of Washington;

 

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Washington State Senate hereby recognizes and honors Dr. Everett Macomber for his election to the office of President of the American Veterinary Medical Association and for his setting an excellent example for all Washington students who aspire to become leaders among their professions; and

 

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Secretary of the Senate immediately transmit copies of this resolution to Dr. Macomber, Oakville Elementary School, Centralia College, and Washington State University.
