HB 1007 - DIGEST

      Authorizes a parent or guardian to petition the superior court to commit a child to a hospital facility for evaluation of possible substance abuse.

      Provides for commitment to an inpatient treatment facility for a sixty-day period.

      Directs the governor to appoint a task force to study treatment methods for children.

      Requires a report of the task force by December 31, 1991.
