HB 1009 - DIGEST

      Specifies the minimum requirements for a community council.

      Provides for a petition process to create the community councils.

      Provides for the election of initial community councilmembers.

      Requires community comprehensive plans and community zoning ordinances to be submitted to the county legislative authority for review.

      Establishes a procedure for annexation of adjacent unincorporated areas.

      Provides for dissolution of community councils.

      Repeals RCW 36.32.500 and 36.32.505.
