HB 1035 - DIGEST

 

      Revises the department of personnel to be the department of personnel and human resources.

      Creates the Washington management service to establish a management identity in state government through separate personnel rules that are unique to the responsibilities of management employees.

      Directs the state's personnel and management systems to be responsive to the increasing diverse work force in terms of gender, race, ethnicity, age, and the presence of disabilities.

      Creates the college career entry program.

      Repeals RCW 41.06.230, 41.06.240, and 41.06.310.

      Takes effect July 1, 1992.
