      Provides that the expenses and costs shall not be charged to the community share of a surviving spouse.

      Provides that the section does not render unenforceable any contract for payment of funeral expenses, that any person who pays funeral expenses shall be entitled to reimbursement, and that the department of social and health services is not prevented from determining whether or not to be responsible for funeral expenses.
