HB 1436 - DIGEST

      Directs the department to establish a grant standard for all income assistance programs as a percentage of the standard of need established under RCW 74.04.770.

      Increases the grant standard incrementally through June 30, 2009.

      Encourages a program that would allow eighteen to twenty year old students to be eligible for federal aid to families with dependent children matching grants.
