HB 1604 - DIGEST

      Authorizes the award of grants for the establishment and operation of safe houses for runaway and street youth up to eighteen years of age.

      Establishes criteria for award of the grants to five safe houses in Seattle, Tacoma, Spokane, Yakima, and Vancouver.

      Makes an appropriation of three million three hundred thousand dollars to carry out the purposes of the act.
