HB 1720 - DIGEST

      Allows the oil heat dealers to join together to create the oil heat commission, to tax themselves in order to create a fund for the purpose of cleaning up spills from damaged tanks, and replacing or repairing those tanks.

      Establishes seven districts for the clean-up activities.

      Authorizes the commission to set the initial assessment not to exceed one cent per gallon of affected goods.
