HB 1902 - DIGEST

      Provides that the annual excise tax specified in RCW 82.44.020 shall be waived for clean-fuel vehicles until June 30, 2000.

      Requires the department to develop clean-fuel performance and emissions standards.

      Requires thirty percent of all new vehicles purchased through state contracts to be clean-fuel vehicles, and increases the percentage annually.

      Directs the identification of barriers to the development of refueling stations for vehicles operating on compressed natural gas.
