HB 1917 - DIGEST

 

      Requires pharmacies located outside the state to be licensed by the department of health if shipments of controlled substances, legend drugs, or devices are made into the state.

      Designates the information to be furnished before issuance of the license.

      Requires the out-of-state pharmacy to provide a toll-free telephone service to facilitate communication with patients in this state.

      Requires the pharmacies to submit written reports on its activities in the state.

      Restricts insurance coverage to only licensed out-of-state pharmacies.

      Provides penalties for violations of the act.
