HB 2127 - DIGEST

      Authorizes local governments to individually or jointly self-insure health and welfare benefits.

      Provides for private meetings to consider litigation and settlement of claims.

      Specifies approved procedures for investment of funds.

      Exempts joint self-insurance programs from certain taxes and fees.

      Directs the administrator of the state health care authority to adopt rules governing the management and operation of the programs.

      Repeals RCW 48.62.035.
