HB 2285 - DIGEST

      Authorizes the legislature to provide the ballot title for a bill or constitutional amendment which it proposes for adoption.

      Directs the attorney general to prepare a summary of the bills and amendments and specifies the requirements for the summary.

      Requires the secretary of state to make notification to designated persons of the filing of a summary.

      Establishes procedures for an appeal by persons dissatisfied with the ballot title or summary.

      Revises procedures for submittal of a proposition to the people of a county, city, town, municipal corporation, or special district.
