HB 2298 - DIGEST

      Authorizes schools to assign students to community service activities in place of out of school suspension.

      Requires the schools to coordinate the placement and supervision of such students.

      Authorizes the superintendent of public instruction to grant funds to selected school districts for the establishment of alternative community placement programs.
