HB 2363 - DIGEST

(SUBSTITUTED FOR - SEE 1ST SUB)

      Requires counties to create a watershed protection district and establish a program to address causes of pollution within one hundred eighty days after the department of health has closed or downgraded the classification of a recreational or shellfish growing area in the county.

      Authorizes the counties to issue general obligation bonds or revenue bonds to assist in carrying out the programs of watershed protection districts.

      Encourages the provision of facilities to reduce the amount of boat wastes entering the state's waters.

      Repeals RCW 90.72.010 and 90.72.050
