(DIGEST AS ENACTED)

      Continues the coverage until the employee becomes eligible for federal medicare coverage or until June 30, 1994, whichever comes first.

      Directs the health care authority to study and develop recommendations regarding group health insurance coverage for retired and disabled school district employees.

      Authorizes direct payment for insurance coverage by the individual beneficiary in lieu of monthly deductions.

      Repeals RCW 28A.400.390.

      Provides that the act shall be null and void if appropriations are not approved.
