(DIGEST AS ENACTED)

      Establishes a process whereby cities and towns with a significant share of state-owned facilities can enter into fire protection contracts with state agencies to provide a share of the jurisdiction's fire protection funding.

      Establishes procedures for resolving any disputes.

      Does not abrogate existing contracts for fire protection services and equipment.

      Repeals RCW 35.21.777.

      Creates the Washington state fire services mobilization plan.

      Creates the state fire defense board.

      Creates regional fire defense boards.
