SB 5029 - DIGEST

      Provides that a nominating primary need not be held for a position in the supreme court, court of appeals, or the superior court, if no more than two candidates have filed for the position.

      Provides that the two candidates shall be printed as nominees on the general election ballot.

      Directs the judicial council to study the system used by the state of Missouri for the selection of judges, to review the code of judicial conduct with respect to campaigning for office, to solicit input from the public, lawyers, and judges, and to report its findings and recommendations by January 1, 1992.
