SB 5244 - DIGEST

      Requires current and prospective employees to be informed of any chemicals, toxic substances, radioactive materials, or other substances which the employer has reasonable cause to believe will cause birth defects or constitute a hazard to an individual's reproductive system.

      Prohibits the reproductive status of an individual to be used as a criterion of employment.

      Requires a telephone information service to provide information concerning potential effects on a fetus resulting from exposure during pregnancy to drugs, chemicals, infections, and environmental hazards.
