                      (AS OF SENATE 2ND READING 3/19/91)

 

      Requires an additional forty-eight months to be added to the presumptive sentence for an offense under chapter 9A.44 RCW or RCW 9A.64.020 if the offender has, prior to the offense, tested positive for the human immunodeficiency virus.

      Revises penalty provisions for transmitting certain diseases.

      Directs the board of health to specify a schedule for testing at sufficient levels to detect the HIV infection.

      Authorizes a victim to request that the accused be tested and establishes procedural requirements for administering the test.

      Repeals RCW 70.24.140.

      Provides that the act shall be null and void if appropriations are not approved.
