      Directs cooperating teachers to provide a source of continuing assistance and support for student teachers.

      Requires salary stipends for cooperating teachers to be paid through supplemental contracts.

      Establishes a network of student teaching centers to be funded by the state board of education.

      Makes an appropriation of two million three hundred sixty thousand dollars to carry out the purposes of the act.
