(DIGEST AS ENACTED)

      Provides that it is unlawful for any person to intentionally cause the death, injury, or loss of any animal from an animal facility for the research or education for medical purposes.

      Provides that it is unlawful to knowingly destroy or damage records, equipment, or research product pertaining to animals.

      Establishes joint and several liability for damages.

      Provides injunctive relief to individuals employed by educational or research facilities who are threatened with harm.

      Makes a violation of the act a class C felony offense.
