SB 5783 - DIGEST

      Provides that the legislature shall have custody and control over the legislative building and any other building of which the legislature occupies one-half or more.

      Provides that the legislature shall supervise the care and maintenance of the buildings, and shall designate the rooms in the legislative building to be occupied by various state officials.

      Creates a joint committee on legislative facilities.

      Authorizes the committee to designate buildings under the legislature's control as having special historical or architectural significance.
